CASE STUDY: Transforming multilingual content management for Eveon Containers

About Eveon Containers

Eveon Containers is a multinational e-commerce company based in the Netherlands that specializes in selling shipping containers through a fully digital platform. Operating across multiple countries, they provide services that meet the demands of an international customer base while maintaining a commitment to transparency and efficiency.

The challenge

Eveon Containers needed to migrate their multilingual website content from Strapi to Prismic. Strapi, an open-source headless CMS, offers flexibility for developers but lacks certain user-friendly features for content editors. Prismic, a SaaS-based headless CMS, provides an intuitive interface, content versioning, and scheduling capabilities, making it more suitable for a growing e-commerce platform. The migration required maintaining accuracy across various language versions of the website, preserving functionality and design consistency, and enhancing the end-user experience and needed a scalable and efficient framework for future content management and delivery.

The solution

As Content Migration Lead, I worked with the Eveon team, facilitating the migration from one CMS to another. During the process, I maintained open communication with project managers and stakeholders throughout the migration. Regular updates, feedback sessions, and collaborative problem-solving ensured that the project stayed on track and met all stakeholder expectations.

  • Content migration
  • Team training
  • Process documentation
  • Quality assurance

Content migration

Conducted a detailed transfer of all website content, including text, images, and media assets, from Strapi to Prismic. This involved mapping content structures, ensuring data integrity, and verifying that all migrated content aligned with the original site’s design and functionality. Special attention was given to the multilingual content to ensure consistency across all languages.

Team training

Provided hands-on training for junior team members on CMS migration processes, tools, and best practices. I was available to answer their questions on topics like page structure, creating pages in another language, and fixing errors in their work. This support ensured they felt confident and capable throughout the project.

Process documentation

Developed extensive step-by-step documentation of the migration process. This included outlining workflows, troubleshooting potential issues, and creating a reusable framework that could guide similar projects in the future.

Additionally, I created a comprehensive “Strapi Manual” with embedded video tutorials tailored for the Eveon team. These resources enabled them to maintain the migrated pages and create new ones independently, equipping them with the tools needed for ongoing content management.

Quality assurance

Performed extensive testing post-migration to verify that all content displayed correctly, links worked properly, and functionality remained intact. This process included cross-browser testing and device compatibility checks to guarantee a seamless user experience.

Team feedback

Stakeholders and team members praised the detailed documentation and training, which enhanced team capabilities and streamlined workflows. The collaborative approach ensured transparency and alignment, leading to the successful completion of the project.
